With multiple innovations happening in the tech savvy electric two wheeler space, the user is only spoilt for choice. Recently, TVS launched the X EV which is high on technology features and gives the touch and feel of a premium two wheeler. However, there is a catch -- a steep price tag of INR 2.5 lakh. The confidence comes through the product as its a TVS, however if the X gets that X factor for the Indian consumer at this price is yet to be seen.

Launched at INR 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the new TVS EV comes with a 4.44kWh dual battery pack. With a host of new technology offerings, the company is targeting the Gen-Z and sees X as leading its premium growth strategy in India and international markets. Further, it aims to become a global mobility firm and plans to introduce multiple EV products by the next year and a half. Currently, about 20% of TVS scooters sales are electric, which is expected to double in the next two years.

According to Vahan data, Ola Electric sold nearly 19,000 units in July, solidifying its position as the market leader with an approximate market share of 40%. The company's sales performance also reflects a year-on-year growth of 375% compared to the corresponding period last year.
